Derksen Floors
is the region's largest and most accomplished installer and refinisher
of athletic hardwood floors. |
| |
Sports floors differ significantly
from floors designed for other purposes. Because the needs of
athletes come first, performance, safety and comfort are inherent
characteristics. |
| |
Floor designs can meet the
all around needs of a multiple purpose gymnasium, or be tailored
to suit the specific needs of a particular facility or sport. |
| |
With over fifteen years
of experience, we have the expertise necessary to help schools,
fitness centers, and recreational facilities choose and acquire
the wood athletic floor that will best meet their specific needs. |
| |
Whether it’s a small
aerobics floor, the average high school gymnasium, or a large
multi-court sports facility, we work on projects of all sizes. |
| |
Hardwood sports floors can
readily be incorporated into new building projects, or be installed
in older facilities. Many wood floor systems have the capability
of being installed over existing floor surfaces such as concrete,
tile, and synthetic flooring -often without having to remove the
old materials. |
| |
From installing the sub-flooring
and hardwood, sanding and finishing the floor, and painting custom
lettering and logos that give a floor pizzazz and inspire school
spirit, we do it all! Beginning to end, we offer all the expertise
and services needed to provide the ideal wood sports floor. |
| |
In some special or multi-use
facilities (e.g. running tracks, weight rooms, field houses),
a synthetic rubber flooring may be the preferred surface option.
Derksen Floors also offers Action Floor’s Herculan and ReFlex
lines of high quality synthetic floor systems. Please inquire
